Yes, one of the world's most beautiful city Venice in Italy is the answer...

It is one of the most favorite cities in Europe visited by 25million tourists annually.
What are the first things which pop up on your mind when you hear about Venice? 
I can state with confidence that it will be the canals, gondolas and the stunning architecture.

    The city is formed by 118 mini-islands in Adriatic sea... These islands are connected by around 400 bridges and over 170 canals and are located within the shallow waters of the Venetian Lagoon. The Venetian Lagoon is listed as a world heritage site. The depth of the water has an average depth of 10.5m and only drops to a maximum of 21 m.  

    The narrowest street in the city, Calle Varisco, is just 53cm wide.

    Venice is sinking at the rate of 1-2 millimeters a year because of both natural and man made causes... 

    Venezuela, a country of South America is named after the Italian name of the city of Venice, ‘Venezia’. Also, Venezuela means ‘little Venice’ in Spanish.

    The city used to be a powerful State in Europe that originated from the lagoon communities in the area of now northeastern Italy. It existed from the late 7th century AD until 1797 and comprised of territories as far as Istria, Dalmatia, of Greece, Cyprus and Turkey.

    The word Ombra (in English ”shadow”) applies to a class of red or white wine, which is one of the most popular drinks in Venice. The origins of the word are still unknown. Some think it refers to the see-through, translucent colour of the wine. Others seem to think that it refers to the custom of factory workers to drink a refreshing glass of wine under the shades.
