One of the blessing from nature is The Himalayas.... The great Himalayas.....

Let's see some interesting facts on the Great Himalayas.....


Himalayas is the word derives from Sanskrit, an old Indian language, means "abode of snow" . 

The Himalayas are the result of tectonic plate motions that collided India into Tibet. 

Still now the tectonic motions are occurring and so the earthquakes and minor tremors are occurring in the Himalayas.

The Himalayas are one of the youngest mountain ranges on the planet...






The Himalayas are about fifty million years old...

The Himalayas starts from Indus river from Pakistan flows through India and ends at the Bramaputra river in Eastern India..

The Himalayas are still growing...

The Himalayas are once under water called Tethys sea. After subduction occurred, it rose up..

The animals like RED PANDA, SNOW LEOPARD, ROYAL BENGAL TIGER, HIMALAYAN MONAL , HIMALAYAN BLACK BEAR, HIMALAYAN TAHR..... Himalayas hold the great habitat of these animal.     

The Himalayas are very cold because of their elevation. 

Many of the Sherpa people , who traditionally lives in Himalayas of Nepal, earn by living as porters and guides...

The Himalayas is the world most beautiful place that all should visit....

However due to climatic effects Himalayas undergone major changes in the last century. It's our responsibility to take care of the treasure given by the Mother nature. Be aware of what doing in the environment because it not only affect us, it also affects our next generation...
