ARAVAN...
Do anyone have an idea about ARAVAN?
How many of you love Mahabharatam?
Did anyone heard the name ARAVAN in MAHABHARATAM?
Let's travel 3500 years ago, to know the history of this great South Indian king ARAVAN who played the great role in MAHABHARATAM... 

In MAHABHARATAM the great war called kurukshetra war was between kauravas and pandavas..
When the war was decided, the news spread all over the world...

The ARAVAN who is from south India travelled and reach the place where the war tends to be happened..
He carried 3 weapons which is like missiles and he finally met Krishna...

Krishna enquired about ARAVAN.... ARAVAN explained his details to the Krishna and said that he wanted to be in part of this great historic war...
Krishna noticed his gigantic structure and enquired about his talents... 
ARAVAN asked that the duration of this war to both partitions.. 
Arjunan said that he can finish this war within 24 days.. 
Others said that the war might extend more than a month... Karnan also said that the war can finish within 24days.. Now Krishna asked to ARAVAN about the duration... ARAVAN replied that he can finish this war within 60seconds.. 

All are astonished including Krishna... 
And Krishna enquired about his missiles... 

ARAVAN replied that, this 1st missile can mark the target...  This 2nd missile can omit the other things... This 3rd missile will destroy the targeted things.. 

All are surprised by his answer.. And they wanted to test him... So ARAVAN was ready to show his techniques... 
So Krishna showed a tree to the ARAVAN and asked to destroy the marked leaves... ARAVAN was ready and started his missile.. 
In the meanwhile Karnan took the marked leaves and hide the leaves under his leg... The missile was destroyed all the leaves and it was surrounded the legs of karnan... 
All are surprised including Krishna.. 
Krishna understood the power of ARAVAN. Now ARAVAN asked that I have to choose my team.. Among these two groups I have to help the group which has less power...

Krishna understood the problem and said to ARAVAN, ARAVAN can you give a pledge to me? 
ARAVAN replied, it's my pleasure... 

And Krishna went inside and returned back with mirror... Now ARAVAN understood what Krishna is going to explain.... And ARAVAN replied, my lord I can understand what you are trying to explain... 
In the mean time I have my own wishes... I would like to marry a girl... 
Krishna turned into a mohini avathar and married to ARAVAN.. 
On the next day ARAVAN was sacrificed his life, by cutting his head... ARAVAN pleased Krishna that he wanted to watch the great war.. So Krishna places his head on the top of the mountain... 

History speaks less about this ARAVAN but his scarification is huge to explain.... He gave his life and obeyed by the Krishna's words...
The ARAVAN came from  south India and the  temple was built in south India and his head is placed as deity ...
All the transgenders go to this temple and celebrate for nearly 14days... The festival started with happiness by marriage and ends with sadness by removing their bindi, kumkum and so on... to the remainder of the great ARAVAN, also called as koothandavar.....
